As time goes by, so we, get older, and the more older we get, it seems the more unsocial we get. True or Not?
As the technology we hold in the palms of our hands continues to become more immersed in our daily lives, the narrative is pushed that smartphones and tablets are turning us into anti-social screen gazers (that's you if you use your phone 24/7), more interested in the world contained in the cloud than the world that surrounds us. But is this really a new narrative? Is it only now that we've become so entranced by streams of information that we've begun shutting out the sensory over-load of everyday life?
Well you be the judge of that, I'm here to ask, "is a Restaurant the place for the Mobile phone?" or "Have we lost site of what is in front of us?" You may be sitting at a table right now, on the couch at home, maybe in your bed, wondering, why! Why has this smart phone, technology and other such devices become so important to us?
Take time to look at your Husband. Take time to speak to your wife. Take time to savor the moment around the dinner table. But most importantly, remember to use the special moment when going out, as a time to connect, talk, observe, listen and Love.
At Booking Made Easy, we want to set that challenge with you. The next time you decide to visit a restaurant, take a moment to look around, (Not down) and tell your spouse, "I love you".
Happy Dining.
